The idea for creating this website came after reviewing other grading sites and discovering that the waiting time to receive coins back after grading was 9 months or longer, particularly for clients in Australia. Despite this, we do it for the love of collecting and as an investment.
I found that although there are a number of grading companies worldwide, 90% of them are located in the USA and have extensive knowledge of international coins. However, from time to time, new coins or variations are discovered. We do not offer valuation services because we believe that value depends on several factors such as authenticity, whether the coin has been cleaned, the number minted and surviving, the coin’s variety, and its condition (which is grading). Additionally, the price a collector is willing to pay for a coin is out of our control.
If you check books or online resources about coins, there are thousands of sources available, but not all of them are truthful. Additionally, due to the lack of an official grading company in Australia, many coin dealers verbally grade coins before selling them, which is unreliable. We aim to educate collectors and provide a needed service for authenticating, grading, and educating about Australian coins.
Our job is to authenticate the coin, as there are many forged coins on the market that can be purchased from China or Korea. We have the tools, equipment, and expertise to do so, as well as the support of the Australian Mint office. We have a team of five professional graders, all of whom have a minimum of 8 years of experience grading with companies such as PCGS or NGC. Together, we have over 50 years of experience in grading
When you receive your grading certificate, you will also receive information about the mint, variation of your coin, the rarest years, known design errors, and the latest news about valuable decimal coins that can be found in your change.
